Franklin Co. Ga. 17 Dec. 1802, converted at 18 yrs. old and Licensed to preach same year. Ordained 1825. Moved to S.C. and then to La. with other S.C. families. Served 2 years there, moved to Louisville Ky. Died Louisville Ky. 3 Nov. 1872. ALBRIGHT, Jack: Settled near Bryceland, La. 1865. Wife was Julia JOHNSON. Free family. Alexander) ALEXANDER, Amzy Dell: Born 1 Feb. 1888, parents were Louis James W. Alexander and N. Emmaline ANDERSON. Married first 8 Nov. 1908 Virginia "Tiney" RHYMES born 7 Sept. 1888 to Cornelius P. Rhymes and Nancy J. BROWN. Children: Gladys, Lettie, Gus Edwin, Huga Victor, Ester, Lester James, Mary, Roy Arnold. Dell married second Bessie LOE. Two children who died at birth. Bessie died 27 Apr. 1947. Dell married third Maggie FOWLER. ALEXANDER, Louis James Born 14 Jan. 1848 Atala Co. Miss. Parents were William B. Alexander and Penelope HARVEY. He married N. Emmaline Anderson (1854-1905 in Bienville Parish La., 30 Dec. 1869. Children: Thomas, Mary married Fred QUARLES, James Martin married Minnie BELL, Mittie married Stephen Jackson BLAYLOCK, Lutie A., Sammy, Amzy Dell. Lived in and near Atala Co. Miss. He was a carpenter, a member of Masonic Trinity Lodge # 88 in Kosciusko Miss. Moved to La. ca 1855-56 and settled in Bear Creek area. (pic of Barron children) ALLEN, Edward Jethrow Born Arkadelphia Ark. 13 April 1873. Died 1938. Married Alice Rosena FRANKS of Arkadelphia Ark. Moved to Allen Town in Bienville Parish, Fort Jessup, Castor and Haughton. Children: (1) Lizzie married Travis POWELL (2) Ruby Cordelia married R.F. ROBINSON Sr. (3) Rosie (4) Eva married Homer ROBINSON (5) Billy (6) John (7) E.J. married Maude MIXON (8) Arlene married Fred HORTON (9) Nolan (10) Mary (11) Maxine married Paxton WYATT (12) Jack Tullos ALLISON, Orie Franklin Born 12 Mar. 1901, s/o George William Allison and Etta UPSHAW. Married Ora Mae JORDAN 19 Jan 1926. She was d/o Henry Green JORDAN and Mary Eugenia JONES. Children: Orie Laurice, Mary Patricia. (submitted by Dr. H. Glenn Jordan, a nephew) ANDERS-BRANTLEY Family Jonathan ANDERS and B.G. BRANTLEY lived in Arcada area. Both served CSA, Jonathan made Captain. B.G. Brantley married Adelia BUYS d/o minister James BUYS and Rachel McIver. James BUYS was a minister and physician, built hotel in Arcadia in early 1850s. James Madison Arthur born ca 1812 S.C. Married Mary Jane (McNAIR ?) born ca 1812 N.C. In Tippah Co. Miss. 1840, Bienville Parish 1850. 1870 Mary Jane was head of household in Ouachita Parish. A J.M. Arthur died at Miss. Springs Hospital Oct. 17, 1862. Children: (1) Daniel Jefferson Arthur born 1836 in TN. (2) Ellen Caroline Arthur born 1838 Miss. Married J.W. MITCHELL (3) William Henry Arthur born 1840 Miss. (4) Anna Jane Arthur born 1842 Miss. (5) John Allen Arthur born 1844 Miss. (6) Margaret Elizabeth "Liz" Arthur born 1846 Miss. Married J. Shelby) ASKEN, Jack (Qudallas Aston) QUDALLAS ASTON was tenth child of Edwin Carrol Aston and Nancy HUNT. Born 7 Mar. 1879 in Winfield Ala. Left home and changed his name legally to Jack Asken. If a picture is included with the article it is noted, along with the names of the people in the picture. WE CANNOT COPY THE PICTURES FOR YOU OR COPY THE ENTIRE ARTICLES. Some of the articles are quite lengthy and contain much more information than we can copy here. We are copying only the names, dates, marraiges, and children when the information is given in the book. Please be warned that we've made no effort to verify the information and it is only as good as the researcher who contributed it.
