The Ouachita Telegraph - Murder of James Harvey (This article seems to imply that James Harvey killed a Samuel Dawkins in self defense, and a few months later, this same Samuel Dawkins shot James Harvey in revenge. Surely there were two Samuel Dawkinses - or one of the Dawkinses had a different name.) Date: May 2000 Submitted by: Lora Peppers ************************************************ Copyright. The shot seems to have entered the back of the head, penetrating the entire brain and lodging against the front teeth. Samuel Dawkins whom Harvey killed in self defense some months since, and it is supposed that he slew Harvey merely through revenge. A jury of inquest pronounced the killing to be murder. Up to this date Dawkins is at large.
