The Bienville Democrat, Arcadia LA, 13 Feb 1964 (Thursday)
Funeral services for Louis E. Laurent, 69, retired machinist of Castor, were 
held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Ebenezer Baptist Church near Castor with the 
Rev. Cedric Hebrick and the Rev. Jimmy Jacobs officiating.  Burial was in the 
church cemetery under the direction of Robbins funeral home of Ringgold.  Mr. 
Laurent died in a West Monroe hospital early Friday following a lengthy 
illness. Survivors include his widow; four sons, Capt. W.A. Laurent of 
California, Jude Laurent of California, W.E. Laurent of Monroe and L.B. 
Laurent of Alexandria, Virginia; three daughters, Mrs. James McLain of Gretna, 
Mrs. James Robinson of Shreveport and Miss Virginia Laurent of Monroe; three 
step sons, Jerry Anderson of Ringgold, Wayne Anderson of Minden and Glenn 
Ramsey of Castor; 10 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
