HEADLINE:  Viola MATHEWS ROWELL

RINGGOLD LA - Funeral services for Viola Mathews Rowell, 80, of Ringgold, LA, 
will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at Rockett Funeral Home 
Chapel in Ringgold LA.  Officiating will be in Little Hope Cemetery in Castor 
LA.

Mrs. Mathews was born Nov 18, 1917, in Jamestown, LA.  She passed away on May 
11, 1998.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Currie Rowell.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Faye Rowell of Jamestown, 
LA; daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Harold Ray Guin of Kilgore, Texas; 
brother and sister-in-law, Ike and Ruth Mathews of Ringgold, LA; 8 
grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and 
friends.  

Pallbearers will be Ray Guin, Randy Guin, Bill Rowell, Rodney Guin, Tim Rowell, 
and Thomas Scott.
  

Additional Comments:
Viola's husband was Currie ROWELL (27 Jun 1915 - 13 Sep 1994). Viola & Currie 
were married on 22 Aug 1936, license in Winn Parish LA, and are buried together 
in Little Hope Cemetery, Castor LA.
