OBITUARY: The Bienville Democrat, 18 Mar 2010

Funeral services were held for Rufus Noble, 73, of Arcadia, Louisiana, on 
Monday, March 8, 2010 at Arcadia Church of Christ with Stephen Boyd 
officiating.  Interment followed at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Gibsland, 
Louisiana, with services under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home of 
Arcadia.

Mr. Noble was born November 19, 1936 in Hazard, Kentucky, to Vernon Noble and 
Mima Stidhem Noble. He entered into rest on Thursday, March 4, 2010 in Minden, 
Louisiana. Mr. Noble was a member of the Arcadia Church of Christ. He retired 
from the Air Force after 20 years, where he served in Vietnam. Rufus also 
worked for many years at Omega Container in Arcadia.

Mr. Noble is preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Elmer Slone.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Noble of Arcadia, Louisiana; two sons, 
Randy Noble and wife Joni of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Ricky Noble of 
Arcadia, Louisiana; two daughters, Rhonda Leonard and her husband Fred of Palm 
Bay, Florida, and Becky Garrett and her husband Rick of Arcadia, Louisiana; 
ten grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband Sean Ploeger, Valerie and her 
husband Joey Carr, Garrett Leonard, Isaiah Williams, Kala Williams, Sydney 
Anderson, Courtney Noble, Alex Noble, Annalise Noble and Kady Noble; three 
great-grandchildren, Josh, Isabelle and Grant; sister-in-law, Gayle and Don 
Colman, and several brothers and sisters, many nieces, nephews, cousins and 
other relatives.

NOTE: A picture of Mr. Noble in his Air Force uniform was included with his 
obituary.
