Plunkett J.P. Plunkett, 67, died Sunday morning at a Shreveport hospital following a short illness. He was a resident of Castor, La, and formerly of Richland Parish. Services were held Monday afternoon at the chapel of Gay's Funeral Home in Delhi. The Rev Jesse Eppinette of Rayville, officiated, assisted by Rev Marcus of Ringgold. Interment followed in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Gay Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maurice Plunkett, of Castor; eight daughters, Mrs. Hassie Perritt, of Victory; Mrs. Katie Brimmer of Castor; Mrs. Annie Harris of Bastrop, Mrs. Gladys Hill of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Jewell Antee of Dunn; Mrs. Dollie Phillips of Yakima, Wash; Miss Sweetie Mae Plunkett of Castor; Miss Beatrice Plunkett of Castor; three sons, Ossie, Fred, and Clyde all of Delhi, an adopted son, Glynn Ramsey of Castor; four sisters Mrs. Ada Watts, Castor, Mrs. Ida Ferguson of Jonesboro, Mrs. Rosa Bollier of Springhill and Mrs. Mollie Martin of Cotton Valley, 44 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Sam Mayes, James Upton, Tommy Rountree, D. J. Harrington, Virgil Sykes, and Donnie Wilburn, Sr.
