Headline:  Final Rites Today for Mrs. Rowell

RINGGOLD, Nov. 30 (Special) - Mrs. Mattie Rowell, 94, died today at the 
home of a son in Castor after a lengthy illness.  

Mrs. Rowell was a lifetime resident of Bienville Parish.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Little Hope 
Cemetery near Castor.  Burial will be under the direction of Congers Funeral 
Home of Ringgold.

Survivors are three sons, H. M. Rowell of Winnfield, J. W. and Nelson 
Rowell of Castor; two daughters, Mrs. Janie Murphy of Minden, and Mrs. Mollie 
Matthews of Castor; 33 grandchildren, 102 great-grandchildren and 40 great-great-
grandchildren.


Additional Comments:
Martha Ann "Mattie" PERSON ROWELL was married to Lewis Edward ROWELL on 
15 Jun 1886 in Bienville Parish. She was the daughter of John Henry Person & 
Mary Ann "Mamie" Ruston.
