Funeral services for Mr. Nelson Rowell, 93, of Castor, La., were held 
2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 1990, at the Castor First Baptist Church.  
Rev. Floyd Pate, officiated under the direction of Rockett Funeral Home of 
Ringgold, La.  Burial site at the Little Hope Cemetery.

Survivors include wife, Mrs. Mae Rowell of Castor; two daughters, Ruby 
Humble of Bienville and Betty Higginbotham of Bossier City; six grandchildren; 
five great-grandchidren; two great-great-grandchildren; host of nieces, 
nephews, and friends.

Mr. Rowell was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Rowell.



Additional Comments:
James Nelson "Nelson" ROWELL (6 Sep 1897 - 24 Oct 1990) was the son of 
Lewis Edward ROWELL & Martha Ann "Mattie" PERSON ROWELL.  He married three 
times: Velma Spurlock (5 Dec 1918), Gladys CAMP (23 Jun 1928), and Mae BOLYER 
(1 Jul 1932).
