Plunkett Funeral services for William W. Plunkett, 64, of Bienville were held Saturday, September 11 in the Castor Methodist Church with the Rev. L. J. Wilson officiating. Burial was in the Bear Creek Cemetery under direction of Robbins Funeral Home of Ringgold. Mr. Plunkett died Wednesday night, September 8, in a Shreveport hospital following a brief illness. He is survived by his widow; five daughters, Mrs. Irene Hamm and Mrs. Odell Hay, both of Castor, Mrs. Marie Brown of Arcadia, Mrs. Betty Pace and Mrs. Shirley Kemp, both of Minden; two sons, A. G. Plunkett of Kermit, Texas, and Harvey Plunkett of Minden; six sisters, Mrs. Lona Blackstone of Hodge, Mrs Nona Tidwell of Shreveport, Mrs. Lola Matthews of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Balera Maza of Quitman, Mrs. Myrtle Smith of Portland, Indiana, and Miss Mattie Plunkett of Hodge; four brothers, Johnny Plunkett of Epps, Tony (should be Tommie) Plunkett of Bienville, Charlie Plunkett of Castor, and Jarvis Plunkett of Orange, Texas, 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
