M. Rowell, 71, will be held at 10 a.m. today in the Church of Christ with the Rev. Dewain Slaughter officiating. Burial will be in the Little Hope Cemetery of Bienville Parish under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mrs. Rowell died Thursday night in a local hospital after a brief illness. Survivors are her husband; 10 sons, Theodore and Tracy of Pineville, TD, Travis, Thee and Thell, all of Winnfield, T.J. Rowell of Urania, Truman Rowell of Baton Rouge, Thurmond of Weatherford, Tex., Talton of Jena; two brothers, N. M. Bates of West Monroe and Wilson Bates of Bienville; a sister, Mrs. Eugenia Poland of Jamestown; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Additional Comments: Bell was the daughter of Oscar L. BATES & Francis "Fannie" HUCKABY, who are buried in Old Sparta Cemetery, Bienville Parish LA.
