                            Zack Stevenson Obit

   16 March 1989
   Mr. Zack Stevenson
   READHIMER, LA.- Services for Mr. Zack Stevenson, 92, will be held
at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 1989 in Strange Methodist Church in
Readhimer, La. Officiating will be the Rev. J. W. Kennedy. Burial
will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Edmonds
Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

   Mr. Stevenson died Wednesday, March 15, in Jackson Parish
Hospital in Jonesboro after a lengthy illness.

   He is survived by two sons, Tom Stevenson of Campti, La., and
Hezzie Stevenson of Readhimer, La.; four daughters, Mrs. Sally
Larsen of Shreveport, Mrs. Frances Thomas of Friendship, La. , Mrs.
Mary Choate of Natchitoches, La., and Mrs. Laura Knotts or Sibley,
La.; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-
grandchild.

   Uncle Zack was the half brother of my grandfather, Thomas Jackson
Stevenson. Zackariah Francis Stevenson was born, 2 Jan. 1897. Son of
Isaac Thomas "Tom" Stevenson and Sarah Slaughter. Isaac Thomas "Tom"
Stevenson was my G-Grandfather, and Zilpha Ann Sledge my G-
Grandmother.
