CASTOR, LA - Funeral services for Mrs Merior B. Sullivan, 81, will be held 2  
p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2003 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Castor, LA.  Rev 
Richard Shreve, Rev Dwight Wesson, and Rev Kelly Tingle will officiate.  
Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Castor, LA.  Mrs Sullivan passed 
away November 7, 2003.  She was born on September 18, 1922 in Castor, LA.  She 
was a member of New Ramah Baptist Church.  Mrs Sullivan was preceded in death 
by her husband, Dave Q. Sullivan and two sons, Gerry L. Sullivan and Ronald P. 
Sullivan.  She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law; Don and 
Hazel Sullivan of Castor, LA; Jerry and Brenda Sullivan of Castor, LA, Jack 
and Jackie Sullivan of Castor, LA, and Barry and Sandie Sullivan of Castor, 
LA; three daughters and sons-in-law; Martha and Dewayne Thompson of 
Keithville, LA; Pat and Willie Byrd of Castor, LA and Beth and Jessie Joyner 
of Castor, LA; one brother and sister-in-law; William and Cloraine Basinger of 
Coushatta, LA; one sister and brother-in-law; Jean and Dal Robinette of 
Bossier City, LA, twenty three grandchildren, forty one great grandchildren 
and a host of other relatives and friends.  The family would like to extend a 
special thank you to Dr Robert Hernandez and the staff of Christus Coushatta 
Health Care Center. 

Additional Comments:
Her and her husband Dave Quitman Sullivan (17 Feb 1918 - 21 Dec 1988) are 
buried together in New Ebenezer Cemetery, Castor LA.  They were married on 28 
Sep 1939 and the parents of my Uncle Don Sullivan, who married Hazel Elizabeth 
Plunkett.
