State of Louisiana
Parish of Bienville} To Rev. J.A. Harrel, Minister of the Gospel, Judge, 
Justice of the Peace, or any other minister authorized to Celebrate Marriages
within the Parish of Bienville Greeting you are hereby authorized and 
empowered to celebrate Marriage between Mr. James Thomas and Mrs. Ophelia 
Mobley, residents of the aforesaid Parish To join them together in Holy Wedlock
according to the law  And of your proceedings herein make to our Said office 
at Sparta.
            Given under my hand and Seal of Office at Sparta Parish and State
            aforesaid on this the 21st day of May AD 1864  Charles H. Murphey,
            Clerk Dist Court.

State of Louisiana}  In pursuance of the above and foregoing license to be 
Parish of Bienville} directed I have this day celebrated marriage between 
Mr. James Thomas and Mrs. Ophelia Mobley according to law In Testimony, where I
have caused the parties together with me in presence of the Subscribing 
witnesses to sign their hereto on this the 22 day of May AD 1864.
