All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ Last Will and Testament of William Pearce The State of Louisianna Parish of Bienville I, William Pearce resident of the parish and state aforementioned, be reminded of the uncertainties of life, and being of sound mind and disposing mind, do ordain this my last will and testament. 1rst It is my will that all my just debts be paid as soon as possible. 2.That the remainder of estate of every kind be kept together until my youngest child, Emma Demelia, becomes of age. 3. It is my will that my beloved wife Lucinda Pearce keep the property until the youngest child becomes of age then my estate of every kind be equally divided between my wife Lucinda and the surviving heirs. Finally I appoint Jason H. Poole and my wife Lucinda Pearce. Executor and executress of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have this will to be written and read aloud in presence of me and the under signed witnesses this 19th day of July A. D. 1862 declaring the same to be my last will and testament. Thus done and signed in the parish and the day aforesaid.
