She was a student at that institution to become a trained nurse, and had for some time been in failing health, having undergone three operations this year. Her death, so said, was not unexpected. As stated last week, she was a niece of Mrs. Thomas "Mary Hannah" Bixler, of Plain Dealing, and Mr. George Washington Durden, of Rocky Mount. Her mother's maiden name was Lenora Durden, she was left a widow several years ago. Aside from the relatives here mentioned , the deceased is survived by two sisters and other relatives. The interment was at the family burial ground, near the Durden old homestead, and out on Bodcau Bayou. A number of Shreveport friends were among those who attended the funeral. Submitter~Kay McMahan My Note-Julia ADAMS was dau. of Frances Lenora DURDEN & W.H. ADAMS, and Granddaughter of Newsome Andrew DURDEN & Elizabeth Rebecca "Becky" YOUNG DURDEN.
