Mrs. Bixler was 23 years of age , and was born at Mott, she was a faithful member of the Methodist Church and had won the hearts of the entire community through her devotion to her husband, who in an accident two days after their marriage was made blind. Besides the grief stricken husband, little 2 year old Robbie Del, father and mother, there are several brothers, all of whom have our greatest sympathy. The deceased was gently laid to rest in Plain Dealing Cemetery Friday. Rev. A.M. Wynne conducting the sad rites and the throng of friends and loved ones together with the many lovely flowers banked high attested the deep love which the community felt for her. Many prominent citizens of other towns attended the funeral. -- (**Note from submitter- Della died of typhoid fever. Her mother was Harriett Ophelia Matlock Anderson. Her brothers were: Algie Gratton Anderson, Marshall Augustus Anderson & Herman O'Dell Anderson, and her half-brother, H.M. Doty.
