-9 Feb. 1950-

Friends will regret to learn of the recent death of J.J. (John Jackson)

Bounds, 83, of Rocky Mount. He was a retired planter. Funeral services

were held at Rocky Mount Presbyterian Church Wednesday at 2 p.m.. Burial

was in Rocky Mount Cemetery.  Mr. Bounds was a life-long resident of the

Rocky Mount Community. He is survived by his widow; two sons: George M.

Bounds of Springhill and John D. Bounds of Shreveport; two daughters;

Mrs. H. C. Tibbs of Rocky Mount and Mrs. E.O. Peterson of Athens;

thirteen Grandchldren; three brothers: Henry D. Bounds Sr. of Plan

Dealing, Louis Bounds of Hosston, & George A. Bounds of Rocky Mount, and

a sister, Mrs. J.M. (Viney Ann) Black of Plaquemine, La.

My Note-John Jackson Bounds was the son of Stephen Henry BOUNDS &

Narcissa LOTT BOUNDS. His wife was Willie PICKETT.
