Durden and Mary C. Fox Durden, aged 9 years, 7 months and 17 days. A gloom akin to the darkness of midnight overshadows the bereaved family who have many friends who deeply sympathize with them in their great sorrow. The Angel of death has again called another bud from the parterre of living flowers, and the sweet spirit of Lula Belle Durden has been transplanted to Heaven, To the bereaved and disconsolate father and mother words of sympathy to their stricken hearts seem to fall like "tinkling cymbals", but they have this comfort: "There is a faith that teaches When struggles of life are o'er, We shall meet our own, our loved ones, And shall know them all once more; What matter though life be dreary, And we tread its paths alone. If when the journey is ended, In Heaven we'll know our own." --
