Kelly died in Shreveport on the 14th. instant, in the 43rd. year of his age. He was born in Bellevue, and lived in Bossier Parish until his death. He served several years as Constable of Ward # 6. After his removal to Benton he was appointed Postmaster at this place, which position he held for a year or more, when he resigned and was appointed Constable of Ward # 2. He had been in bad health for several years. Deceased leaves 3 children, Misses Blanche & Lizzie Kelly, and Mr. Andrew Kelly; two sisters: Mrs. Mary J. Head and Mrs. N.A. Hill, besides many connections and friends to mourn his death. The remains were brought to Benton Thursday evening and the funeral services held at the residence of Mr. B.A. Kelly. The services were conducted by Rev. J. M. Brown, who was assisted in the last sad rites by Rev. J. M. Hickson and Rev. W.A. Zeigler. The remains were buried at Bellevue Friday. -- (**My Note ~ Louis B. Kelly was husband of Elizabeth Rebecca Ann "Lizzie" Durden Kelly who preceded him in death in 1886. He was son of William A. Kelly & Martha Ann DeLoach Kelly.)
