MISS LOUISE YAZBECK is of Syrian descent, but has lived in Shreveport all her life. A prominent piano teacher. Chairman of National Music Week in 1926 and succeeded in publishing an account of Shreveport's musical activities of that week in twelve of the leading musical magazines of the country. Recipient later of commendation from National Headquarters for this work. For three years she has broadcasted over KSBA. Vice-president of the Progressive Music Club. Member Beta Chapter of Delphians. Member Woman's Department Club. Presented an Oriental Concert before the Woman's Department Club, 1927. Contributor to "Etude;' Syrian World. June 16, 1927, presented an operetta by her pupils, "Out of the Past." Miss Yazbeck has received honors through the medium of many publications.
