Martin of 1843 Dolphine St.., died at 6 a.m. Thursday in Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans following a short illness Miss Monroe, who would have been a senior this fall at Fair Park High School was a Grand Officer in the State of Louisiana Order of Rainbow Girls. She was a native and lifelong resident of Shreveport LA and a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church, the ad staff at Fair Park High. Miss Monroe is survived, in addition to her parents, by two sisters, Miss Kathy Monroe of Shreveport, and Mrs. Elaine Harrison of Honolulu, Hawaii, and two brothers, D.L. Monroe, with the U.S. Navy in San Francisco, Calif., and William, with the U.S. Air force at Williams Air Force Base in Arizona. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Osborn Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating at the services will be the Rev. Ira Peak, pastor of Lakeshore Baptist Church. Serving as Pallbearers will be Randy Sweeters, Roger Tanner, Jane Morton, Monte Robinson, Tommy Bogue and Phillip Watkins. Burial will be in Forest Park.
