BETTY MASSEY ADAMS
Memorial services for Betty will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998 
at Wellman Funeral Home Chapel.  She passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998 
at IHS Pierremont after a lengthy illness.  She was born Dec. 14, 1914 in Sutton, AR 
and resided in Shreveport for 60 years.  She was preceded in death by husbands,
Robert Massey and Henry Adams; parents, W. H. & Lena Evans; brother, Henry
Evans of Casa Grande, AZ; 
and sisters, Mattie Wray and Lena Aslin of Hope, AR.
Survivors include daughter, Sylvia Mabry and husband, Norman of Pagosa Springs,
CO; brothers, John Evans of Shreveport and Claude Evans of Casa Grande; sisters, 
Jo Griffin and Mary K. Nezat of Shreveport. Betty donated her body to LSU School
of Medicine.  She spent years 
helping and loving others at the nursing home.
The family wishes to express appreciation to the staff at IHS and Hospice of
Shreveport/Bossier for the loving care given Betty.
