Alfred. Funeral services for Joe C. Alfred, 85, who died at his home, 202 Pierre Avenue, at 2:30 p. m. Sunday, were held at 5:30 Monday at Rose-Neath Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Carl Mausey, assistant pastor, Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial took place at Providence Cemetery near Spring Ridge, La. Mr. Alfred, who was a conductor for the Shreveport Railway Co., lived in Shreveport all his life. He is survived by three brothers, Gus and Glen, of Shreveport, and Warren, of Spring Ridge; one sister, Mrs. Betty Alfred, of Shreveport, and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were M. L. Alvfred, Roy Collum Jr., Newton Alfred, Jim Alfred, Wl G. Alfred, and Dewey Alfred.
