ALFRED, WARREN (COL.)             b. 19 Mar 1867            d. 14 Jul 1953

     Obituary - The Shreveport Times, July 15, 1953, Alfred, Funeral planned today.  Funeral
services will be held at 4 p. m. Wednesday from Providence Baptist Church for Warren
Alfred, 86 years old Greenwood farmer, who died Tuesday moring at his home in Greenwood
after a short illness.
     Officiating will be Rev. Oran Rhodes, Pastor, who will be assisted by the Rev. McReynolds, Pastor
of Greenwood Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Providence Cemetery under the direction of
Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
     Mr. Alfred, who was born in Spring Ridge, has been a Caddo Parish resident all of his life.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Roy Collum of Greenwood; three sons (only two named) J. B.
Alfred of Shreveport, and N. C. Alfred, both of Spring Ridge; one brother Glenn Alfred of 
Shreveport; one sister, Miss Bettie Alfred of Spring Ridge; ten grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
     Active pallbearers will be Norman Hudson, J. L. Hollingsworth, Glenn Williams, Reginald 
Teer, John B. Teer, and John Robb.
