Tucker tuckarb701@aol.com January 4, 2006, 8:54 pm Shreveport Times, June 10, 2005 Carolyn Andreola Bordelon Shreveport,LA-Carolyn Andreola Bordelon, 76, passed away Wednesday, June 8th, 2005 at Willis Knighton Pierremont Hospital after a brief illness. Visitation will be held at Osborn Funeral Home on Sunday, June 12th from 5 until 7 PM with vigil service following at 7 PM. Services will begin at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4736 Lyba Street, Shreveport, on Monday, June 13th at 10 AM. Officiating will be Msgr. Murray Clayton, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rev. Richard J. Lombard, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Rev. Joe Martina, pastor of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church of Many. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Avenue. There will be a reception at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gabriel Hall, after the interment. Mrs. Bordelon was born in Shreveport on January 1st, 1929, being the first New Year baby of that year. She was a lifelong resident of Shreveport. She spent 19 years as legal secretary. Mrs. Bordelon was a charter member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, performing many roles at the church including, serving several terms on the pastoral/finance council, secretarial work for the church parish and council. She headed up the fund raising/building committee for Gabriel Hall and assisted in preparing the Constitution for Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Bordelon was honored by receiving the Diocesan Medal of Honor Award and continued to volunteer her time and talents in the church. Her passion was the game of Bridge, which she enjoyed for over 40 years. Since her husband's death, she has been spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her daughter and two grandchildren, Josh and Magen. She was a wonderful mother, a devoted friend, who always made time to help anyone in need and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Bordelon Jr.; mother, Caroline Bowers Andreola and father, William Lewis Andreola; brother, William Lewis Andreola Jr.; sisters: Rosemary Elizabeth Roach and Margaret K. Kramer. She is survived by her daughter, Dene' B. Tucker, who was by her side until the end and husband, Casey Tucker; two grandchildren, Joshua and Meagen Tucker, nephew, Thomas H. Roach and wife, Sherri Roach, and great nieces, Whitney Roach and Jennifer King, all of Shreveport. Pallbearers will be Mike Robertson, Joshua Tucker, Kenneth Frazier, Terry Mitts, Terry Pipes, John Albritton, Walter White and Murray Zachry. Honorary pallbearers will be William H. Earley and Edmond E. Specht. The family would like to give thanks to her doctors and the Critical Care Staff at Willis Knighton Pierremont Hospital, with special regards to Faith Paine, for her excellant medical attention and heart felt compassion demonstrated through our most difficult time. memorials may be bade to the charity or organization of the donor's choice.
