Officiating will be Reverend Harrell Sheldon and Brother James Hill. Visitation will be held at Wellman Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2000. Interment will be at Forest Park West Cemetery. Mrs. Boyter, 83, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2000 at the Guest House following a short illness. She was a resident of the Blanchard-Mooringsport area for over 35 years and a member of First Baptist Church of Blanchard. Mrs. Boyter was a loving Christian mother who was devoted to the Lord, her family and friends. Mrs. Boyter is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis Clayton Boyter and daughter, Elizabeth Trouth. She is survived by three sons, Wayne Boyter and wife, Lynda of Blanchard, LA, Clayton Boyter and wife, Mattie of Shreveport, LA and W. E. "Dub" Boyter and wife, Susann of Benton, LA; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staffs of The Hospice & Guest House. Officiating will be Bro. Richard Beeman, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, Vivian. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Mrs. Snell went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 6, 2000, at the age of 87. She was born December 12, 1912 in Cass, TX. She was an avid reader and loved to knit and crochet gifts for others. She loved her family and friends. She was a longtime resident of Vivian and a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Snell was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Aubrey Worth Snell and a son, Lloyd B. Snell. She is survived by a daughter, Mildred Martin of Blanchard, LA; two sons, Aubrey W. Snell, Jr. and wife, Dollie of Blanchard, LA and Quinton M. Snell and wife, Bebe of Trinity, TX; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Osborn Funeral Home on Sunday, October 8th from 4 until 6 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Monday at Church of the Holy Cross Episcopal, 875 Cotton Street, with The Rev. Kenneth W. Paul officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Mrs. Waller was a graduate of C.E. Byrd High School and attended Lindenwood College, Southern Methodist University and Louisiana State University. She served as a volunteer at Schumpert Hospital and as a board member of Oakwood Home for Women and was a member of Church of the Holy Cross. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Howard Waller; her parents, Maggie Rogers Bowen and Stephen Wesley Bowen; her sister, Mary Arrington; and brothers, S. Michel Bowen and Rogers Turner. Mrs. Waller is survived by her son, Stephen Waller of Dallas, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Mickey Mangham of Lafayette; granddaughter, Elizabeth Morgan Mangham of Baton Rouge; several nieces and nephews; and her companion, Helen Kellum of Keatchie. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Mrs. Guerra passed away on October 6, 2000, at Lifecare Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Guerra was born on May 4, 1926, in Monterey, Mexico. She was a homemaker and member of Northview Assembly of God Church. Toni was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother with a passion for cooking. She was preceded in death by husband, Manuel Guerra, daughter, Angelita Garcia, grandson, Rex Wilson, granddaughter, Grace Guerra and great-grandson, Mason Teague. Surviving her are sons, Romerelo Guerra, Raymond Guerra, Joe Guerra, Frank Guerra, William Guerra, daughters, Elizabeth Garcia and Rebecca Addison, 24 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
