Hicks, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Family hour will be Thursday, June 1, 2000 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Winnfield Funeral Home, 3701 Hollywood Avenue. Ms. Tishuna Fontaine Sells was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on November 29, 1972 to Dennis W. and Karen Sells. Tishuna spent her entire childhood, adolescent years, and young adult life here in Shreveport, where she made many binding friendships that lasted throughout her life. She received her education through the Caddo Parish School system and continued studies at Grambling State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, and was a member of the Grambling State Marching Band while attending the University. Tishuna confessed her faith in Christ and became a member of the Avenue Baptist Church at an early age. She participated in many church activities as she grew up. Tishuna was employed by Harrah's Casino. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Octavia C. Bell; her parents, Dennis W. and Karen Sells of Shreveport; one brother, Dennis W. Sells, Jr.; one sister, Tinessa D. Sells; grandmother, Mrs. Pauline Sells; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John and Doris Banks of Greenwood, MS; aunts, Joyce Ford Jefferson (Robert), Diane Sells Melvin, Elouise Sells MacDonald, Louise Sells Below, and Alvinette Ford McKinney; uncles, Alvin Ford, John P. Banks, Jr., Roosevelt Bryant, III and Bruce McLemore. Her memory will also be cherished by a host of other relatives and many friends. Lois Morehead Sandifer Published on 06/01/2000 The Times-Shreveport, LA SHREVEPORT, LA - Memorial services will be held for Mrs. Sandifer at The Glen Retirement Home on Thursday, June 1 at 9 a.m., with funeral services on June 1 at 2 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove, LA. Mrs. Sandifer died on Tuesday, May 30 at the age of 95. Born in Scott County, MS, she moved to West Carroll Parish, LA in 1929 where she resided for sixty years. There she was a sixty-year member of Homemakers Clubs, and a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church, Oak Grove. She was a member of the Guiding Star Chapter #66 of the Eastern Star for over thirty-five years. She moved to Shreveport in 1989 where she was a resident of The Glen Retirement Village and a member of Ellerbe Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie L. Sandifer; her son, Alvin C. Sandifer and daughter, Evelyn S. Hall; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Morehead; brothers, Corvin Morehead, Melvin Morehead and Murphy Morehead; sisters, Ruby Bassett, Ivy Green, Virgie Ross, Dubois Protsman and Rodean Preddy, and a grandson, Robert J. Hall, Jr. Survivors include daughter-in-law, Emma Sandifer of Kingwood, TX; grandchildren, David Hall and wife, Renee of Benton, LA, Michael Sandifer of Florissant, CO, Mark Sandifer and wife Cindy of Lakewood, CO, Cheryl Sandifer of Kingwood, TX and Karen Henderson and husband, Quinn of The Woodlands, TX and eight great-grandchildren. Lloyd Madison McKenzie, Sr. Published on 06/01/2000 The Times--Shreveport, LA OIL CITY, LA - Lloyd Madison McKenzie, Sr. died on Wednesday, May 31, 2000 after a lengthy illness. Mr. McKenzie was born on November 25, 1908 in Homer, LA. He moved with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. C. McKenzie, to Oil City in 1921 and married Corinne Davidson on July 2, 1936. Mr. McKenzie retired from Cities Service as pipeline superintendent after 37 years of service. He was a Paul Harris fellow of the Oil City Rotary Club and had been a lifetime member of the Oil City Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Corinne D. McKenzie; son, Lloyd M. McKenzie, Jr.; daughter, Coe M. Haygood; four grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2000 at 10 a.m. at the Oil City Methodist Church with burial at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Services will be officiated by Rev. William Peeples, assisted by Rev. Richard Cockburn. Visitation will be held at McGuire Funeral Home on Thursday, June 1st from 5 til 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Van Steward, James Ward, Mike Beck, Terry Beck, Dylan Ward and Warren Gray, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Millard Law, Johnny Law, Russell Chisum and retired Citgo pipeline employees. Charles Rew Bell Published on 06/01/2000 The Times--Shreveport, LA SHREVEPORT, LA - Charles Rew Bell, 83, died Monday, May 29, 2000 at Spring Lake Guest Care after a prolonged illness. Services will be conducted on Thursday, June 1st at 11:30 a.m. in the Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Edward Cooper of Life Tabernacle and assisting will be Rev. Todd Foster. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Mr. Bell was born August 1, 1916 in Desoto Parish and was a long time resident of Shreveport, LA. He was a lifetime member of Life Tabernacle Church. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, A. L. Bell and Mary Josephine Campell Bell and by his wife of 60 years, Lola Evelyn Wade Bell. He is survived by two sons, Billy Rew Bell and Thomas Julian Bell and wife, Judy Carter Bell; three grandchildren, Brenda Bell Zimmermann and husband, James Edward Zimmermann of Mandeville, LA; Jana Bell Foster and husband, Todd Austin Foster, and Julian Shane Bell and wife, Dana Smith Bell; three great-grandchildren, Dailey Joy Foster, Thomas Jadyn Foster, and Madalyn Marie Bell. Serving as pallbearers will be G.B. "Bo" Blount, Cline Blount, Billy Carter, Carroll Douglas Harvey, Billy Wayne Runyon and Henry Glen Wade.
