He was preceded in death by his wife Macy Matlock Carleton. His 
is survived by his son, Tom Carleton and wife Margie, his 
granddaughters Karyn Carleton Flowers and husband Eric, Kimberly 
Carleton Haskins and husband Kelly, two great grandsons, Travis 
Carleton Flowers and Kirby Carleton Haskins all of Bossier City.

It can be said of him and of the millions of others who served in 
WWII that he was part of the greatest generation. He will be remembered 
by his family and friends as a man of good deeds and selfless acts, 
and it is for this reason that he will truly be missed, for he will 
never pass this way again.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bossier Parish 
Community College Foundation or to Mangum Memorial Methodist Church.
