Son of the late Lee and Nora Young Coker. Father of Billy Coker, Jean Sharp and Earline Davidson of Houma, LA and the late Maxine Coker. Brother of Bobby coker of Tullos, LA and the late Lambert Coker, Clyde coker, Alma c. Robbins, Nannie C. Rhodes and Juanita Coker. Also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Age 86 years, a native of Bossier Parish, LA and a resident of Houma, LA He was a retired production and drilling foreman of 35 years with Texaco, Inc. His hobbies included: avid fisherman and deer hunting and woodworking. He was a deacon at the Christ Baptist Church in Houma, LA He came from the cotton fields to the Texaco oilfields. Religious services were held on Sat., Oct. 17, 1998 at 2 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home Chapel, Houma, LA with interment at Rocky Mount Cemetary in Rocky Mount, LA on Monday, Oct. 19, 199 at 2 p.m.
