Winn County Louisiana Archives Obituaries.....Collins, James W. January 25, 1983

Winn Parish Enterprise   
   James W. Collins, 91, of Winnfield died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 
1983 in Humana Hospital.
   He was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish and a retired farmer.
   Survivors include his wife, Annie Crain Collins of Winnfield; two sons, 
Henry W. Collins of Vivian and Malcolm L. Collins of Winnfield; a stepson, 
Carmen Crain of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Katherine Moore of Jonesboro; 
three stepdaughters, Yvonne Sutton of Pioneer, Bernadine Hyde of Shreveport, 
and Glenda June Herrman of Houston, Texas; a halfbrother, Julius H. Beard of 
Stonewall; a sister, Pearl Montgomery of Bristol, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren 
and 11 great grandchildren.
   Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, in East Winnfield Baptist Church with 
the Revs. Doyle Wesson, James Simons, and Grayson Watson officiating.
   Burial was in Old Union Cemetery, Joyce, under direction of Edmonds.
