All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Shreveport Journal August 17, 1967 Charles Curtis, Ex-Resident, Dies At 95 in Arcadia Charles Harvey Curtis, 95, a resident of Shreveport for 65 years before moving to Arcadia, died at 11:04 p.m. yesterday in the Arcadia Baptist Home after a long illness. A retired wholesale grocery man, Mr. Curtis was a former member of the Queensborough Baptist Church. He was a native of Jonesboro, Ill., and had been a resident of Arcadia for the past five years. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lois Curtis Gage, Dallas, TX, and Mrs. Wanda Curtis Miller, Castro Valley, Calif.; 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Homer Parton, Jack Willis, Claude Williams , James M. Smith, Ernie Rentz, M. E. Spruell, J. B. Ringgold and W. A. Goudet. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in Rose-Neath Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Centuries Memorial Park
