Visitation will be held at Osborn Funeral home on Sunday, June 25th from 6 until 8 p. m. and until 10:00 a. m. Monday, June 26th. Graveside services will begin at 10:30 a. m. on Monday, June 26, 2000 at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Avenue. Officiating will be Mr. Raymond T. Boswell. Mrs. Dove was a native of Doucette, TX and a resident of Shreveport, LA for 78 years. She was a member of Highland Baptist/First Baptist Church and of the Eastern Star Victory Chapter #130. She volunteered with Christus Schumpert Medical Center for several years and was a caregiver to several family members and friends. Mrs. Dove was preceded in death by her husband, George Herbert Dove; her parents, Grover and Daisy Garrison; her brothers, Grover Garrison, Jr. and George Garrison. She is survived by three daughters, Patti Hummel and husband Al or Oklahoma City, OK, Peggy Whitehouse and husband, Grant of Charlotte, NC, and Penny Schwich and husband, Bill of Monroe, LA; four grandchildren, Eric Hummel, Amanda Whitehouse, Joe Whitehouse, and David Whitehouse; and one great-grandchild, Angela Dove Whitehouse. The family requests that memorials be made in lieu of flowers to their favorite charity. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Glen, especially Sally and Heath; Hospice Management Care, especially Chenita; special friends, Helen Waller and Alice Woodard; the members of the Naomi Sunday School Class; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Yvette and Norman Dove; long-time family friends, A. T. and Vera Bunn, Dan and Myralyn Henderson.
