Visitation will be held at Osborn Funeral Home, 3831 Southern Avenue, Tuesday, July 25, 1995 from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 1995 at Osborn Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. William Peeples of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Mr. Fisher was born August 9, 1914 in Arcadia, LA and had been a long-time resident of Shreveport. He was a veteran of World War II and worked as a salesman of men's clothing at Selber Bros and Jordan & Booth. He was an active member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church and the Men's Bible Class. Mr. Fisher was preceded in death by his wife, Mutell Deese Fisher, a brother, Henry Fisher and his step-mother, Eva Hayes Fisher. He is survived by his wife Thelma Holleman Fisher, two daughters, Martha Richard and her husband, Joseph "D.J." Richard of Baton Rouge, LA, and Mary M. Fisher; two grandchildren, Randy and Kathryn Richard; a sister, Martha L. Fisher and a brother, James N. Fisher. Pallbearers will be Wallace Attaway, John Malone, Dr. William B. Fowler, Randy Richard and Bobby Gilliam. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Oliver Sartor and members of the Men's Bible Class of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. The family requests memorials be made to Broadmoor United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of the 4th Floor-East of Willis Knighton and the staff of Willis Knighton Cancer Treatment Center.
