Officiating will be Father Ben Songe. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pritchett, TX. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at the funeral home. Mr. Gosdin was born in Red River, OK to Jewell and Thelma Gosdin. He passed away February 10, 2008 after a lengthy illness. He was a member of St. Matthias Epsicopal Church. He was a member of Joppa Masonic Lodge #362, Mithra, Scottish Rite and El Karubah Shrine. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 14. He was in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He was a Baker for Holsum Bakery. Mr. Gosdin was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debbie Fondren; son, John Gosdin, Jr.; and brother Maurice Gosdin. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Pat Gosdin; son, Bill Gosdin; daughter, Dusta Killgore; two grandchildren, Katie Killgore and Michelle Killgore; great-grandchild, Abby Kilgore; sisters, Jean Arrington, Joyce Mask, Shirley Rutledge and Carolyn Dortch; brothers, Calvin Gosdin and James Gosdin; and a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
