Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 23, 1998 at Rose-Neath Southside from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A vigil service will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by recitation of the rosary. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1755 Corbett St. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998 at 1 p.m. with Monsignor Carson LaCaze officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery. Alice was born November 6, 1904, the tenth child of Edmond Pierre and Malvina Bourgeois. She moved to Shreveport in 1929 and married Wilkins Wallace Hunt on December 2, 1933. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Malvina, her husband, Wilkins and eleven of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son, Wiklins Hunt, Jr. and wife Gwen of Doyline, LA; two daughters, Gail Leeth of Shreveport, and LaVelle Pinder and husband Stan of Austin, TX; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful and dear friends, one surviving brother, Vincent M. Bourgeois and wife Opal, of Sulphur, LA. She will be long remembered for her faithful and devoted service to her God and her church, as well as for her cheerful, open hospitality, and generous acts of kindness to one and all. Pallbearers will be charles Bourgeois, Wayne Bourgeois, Gregory Fox, Rigby Hollingsworth, Tony Roberts and Dick Yore. Special thanks are offered to the staff of Glen Oaks Nursing for the devoted care given their mother during these last two and a half years.
