JIMMIE DICKEY

In Memory of Jimmie Dickey

Born: 1/8/1938               Died:  1/4/1983

Three years have passed & yet somehow it seems like yesterday, 
When God above reached down below & took my world away.  
It hurt us so to let you go & I just couldn't see, how the lord above,
 in the name of love, could do this thing to me.  At first I was so 
bitter.  I was angry, hurt & sad; but now I bow my head & thank 
the Lord for what I had.  As loving thoughts of days gone lie softly 
on my mind-I realize  how precious are the things you left behind.  
And if my loss was greater than another in my shoes:  Now I know 
it was because he gave me more to lose.  So, I will hold my head 
up high though it hurts, I'll smile, and humbly thank the Lord my 
God, you shared our world a while.
