Johnson: J.A. "Jim" Johnson, Sr., 81 of 3137 Lillian, died at 5:15am THursday in Houston, Texas after a sudden illness. Mr. Johnson was a lifetime resident of Shreveport, a member of parkview Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War I. The retired cablesplicer was teh first moving picture projectionist in SHreveport. Funeral services will be held at 10am Saturday in the Marshall Street Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Hoy, pastor of Laurel Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. He is survived by two sons, Dr. James A. Johnson, Jr. of Shreveport and Dr. Walter A. Fletcher of Houston Texas; one sister, Mrs. Blanche Dustin of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Thomas A. Johnson, James A. Johnson, WIlliam Wilcox, Patrick B. Wilkins, Melvin D. Allen and WIlliam R. Empfield.
