Officiating will be Rev. Tom Edmons, Hospice Chaplain, assisted by Brother Mike Hudspeth, pastor of Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church. Mrs. May died Monday, November 3, 1997, in Shreveport after a lengthy illness. She was born in Pisgah, Alabama, and had resided in Shreveport since 1958. Mrs. May was a homemaker and a former employee of Big Chain Cafeteria. She was Protestant and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. C. May, Jr. Survivors include her son, Richard C. May III and wife, Deborah of Shreveport; grandchildren, Crystal Martin, Celeste May and Cynthia May; brother, William D. Black and wife, Irma of Daingerfield, TX. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
