OBITUARY: The Shreveport Times, 6 Jul 1972

Funeral services for Mrs. C. H. McBroom, 70, 222 W. 73rd St., will be 
conducted at 2:30 p.m. today in Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. W. D. 
Martin, pastor.

Burial will be in Forest Park West Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath 
Funeral Home, where the body will lie in state until 1 pm. today.

Mrs. McBroom died at 2:10 a.am. Wednesday in Physicians and Surgeons Hospital 
after a short illness.

She was a native of Bienville Parish and had been a Shreveport resident for 33 
years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Jeannette Caudle of Shreveport; 
three brothers, Allen Henson, George Womack and Bill Womack, all of 
Shreveport; three sisters, Sybil Poston, Mary lou Adams and Bessie Newman, all 
of Shreveport, one grandson and one great-grandson.

Pallbearers will be Grady Buchanan, F.M. Moses, Willie Hoffman, Jack Ackers, 
Tom Anderson, and George Rasberry.

Additional Comments:
Martha was the daughter of William Henry HENSON & Louiza Elizabeth "Lula" 
MYERS. She married Clarence MCBROOM twice! They first married 8 May 1924 and 
then on 9 Jan 1947.
