All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** WILLIAM MAX "WALDO" MCDOWELL Funeral services for Mr. William Max "Waldo" McDowell, 49, of Ringgold, LA, will be held Wednesday, December 2, 1998 at 2 p.m. in the Ringgold First United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Brad Driggers, Rev. Joe Hoover and Mr. Wally Watts. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery in Ringgold under the direction of Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold, LA. Mr. McDowell was healed of cancer and delivered from pain, suffering and disability on November 29, 1998, when he departed this life and by God's grace entered into the eternal presence of his loving Heavenly Father. He worked for Hercules Offshore Drilling Company for over 15 years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. Mr. McDowell was preceded in death by his father, Walter Max McDowell. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Lewter McDowell of Ringgold; mother, Janice McDowell of Ringgold; son, Will McDowell of Ringgold; step-sons, Michael E. Dean of Natchitoches and Murray S. Lewter of Shreveport; brothers, John McDDowell and his wife, Roberta of Ringgold, Jimmy McDowell and his wife, Cecillia of Houma, LA; sister-in-law, Deborah Lewter of Ringgold and a special friend, Dianne Davis of Ringgold. Pallbearers will be Tom Hord, D. E. Jones and charles Hughes (all who worked with him), Robert Watts, Scotty Davis, Steve McDowell, John Salter and Bob Wilkie. Honorary pallbearers will be J. C. Davis, O. G. "Laddie" McDowell, Robert E. "Buddy" McDowell, Paul Cook, John Traylor, Ross Edwards and Steve Moseley.
