Lewis F. Mitchell

SHREVEPORT, LA- Services will be conducted at Centuries Memorial 
Funeral Home Chapel for Lewis F. Mitchell, age 92 of Shreveport, 
LA on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at 12:30 p.m. Officiating will 
be Rev. Al Richardson of Kingston Road Baptist Church. Interment 
will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday 
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Mitchell went home 
to be with the Lord on February 9, 2008 at his residence after a 
lengthy illness. He was born in Coudersport, PA and lived in Shreveport 
for 55 years. 

He was a retired District Superintendent for Halliburton, with 35 years 
of service. He was an avid fisherman and loved to travel. He was a Mason, 
a member of the Eulalia Lodge #342 of Pennsylvania and an Aladdin Temple 
Shriner.

Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis C. Mitchell, two sons, 
Gary George Mitchell and George William Mitchell, two brothers and two sisters. 

He is survived by daughter-in-law Joyce Mitchell of Shreveport, LA; sister 
Alsace Lorraine Porter of Brea, CA; grandchildren Terry Mitchell Hester and 
husband Keith of Stringer, MS, Gary W. Mitchell and wife Tiffani of Bossier 
City, LA, Mark A. Mitchell and wife Tracie of Blanchard, LA, and Brian Keith 
Mitchell and wife Carlee of Culloden, W. VA; great-grandchildren Cody and 
Kristen Mitchell, Mandy Hester, Tyler and Mackenzie Mitchell, William Mitchell, 
Brandon Mitchell and wife Brittany; and great-great granddaughter Aurora Mitchell.

Pallbearers will be members of the family and Honorary Pallbearer will be Bob 
Burns. The family sends their special thanks to Agape Hospice for their loving
