Oct 7 (Special) Richard H. Dickey, a longtime resident of this city died in a Shreveport hospital at 7:15 a.m. today following a short illness. He was 52. Services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Oil City with the Rev Joe Johnson, pastor of the Oil City Church of Christ, officiating, assisted by the Rev. A. J. Chandler, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Oil City. Mr. Dickey was a member of the Oil City Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Chapel Wood Memorial Gardens, in Vivian with the Hanner Funeral, Home in charge. Mr. Dickey is survived by his widow; four sons, Chester N. Dickey of Anchorage, Alaska, J. C. Dickey and Hancell H. Dickey of Oil City and Wallace R. Dickey of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Opal N. Walters and Mrs. Elsie D. McGraw, both of Shreveport; 12 grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers. Richard H. Dickey now rests beside his wife Eva Dickey in Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Oil City.
