				DESSIE VIRGINIA SHERRY

	Graveside services for Dessie Virginia Sherry, 83, of Vivian were held at Hosston Cemetery 2 p. m. 
Sunday, Oct. 1, 1989. Officiating was Rev. Gordon Cowart, pastor of Hosston Baptist Church, where 
Mrs. Sherry was a former member.  Services were under the direction of McGuire Funeral Home in Vivian.
	Mrs. Sherry died Thursday, Sept. 29, 1989, at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home South in
Shreveport following a lengthy illness.  She was born April 2, 1906, in Hosston, and had been a Caddo Parish 
resident all of her life.  She was a housewife.
	She is survived by two daughters.  Mary E. Dodson of Bossier City and Frances D. Sherard of Converse; 
four grandchildren; six great-greandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
