Officiating will be Brother Randy Brown, pastor of Mooringsport Baptist Church, assisted by Brother Harold Shelton of Airline Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Mooringsport, LA. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m., Sunday, August 18 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Marshall Street Chapel, Shreveport, LA. Mrs. Springer died Friday, August 16, 2002 at North Caddo Memorial Hospital in Vivian, LA. She was born in Moulton, Lawrence County, AL and was a resident of Mooringsport, LA for 58 years. Mrs. Springer was past secretary for the Caddo Horse Riding Club, Avon Representative for many years and former owner & operator of Springer’s Gulf Service Station, Mooringsport. Mrs. Springer was a member of Mooringsport Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents William Hamby Parker and Susan Aldridge Parker, husband, Amos C. Springer, three brothers John Arthur Parker, Silas R. Parker and Albert G. “Bert” Parker, two sisters, Dora Parker Ellenburg and Nellie Parker Dunbar. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be nephews Charles “Sonny” Parker, James “Eddie” Parker, Gary Parker, Raymond Parker, Charles Case and Sidney Case.
