STEPHENSON, CITY FIREMAN, DIES; RITES HERE TUESDAY William Rew Stephenson, 21, of Rout 2, Shreveport, hoseman at Central fire station for the past year, died in a local hospital at 8:35 p. m. Sunday after an illness of 10 days. Funeral services will be held at Rose-Neath chapel at 2 p. m. Tuesday with the Rev. Claude Spearman, pastor of the Second Baptist Church of Marshall, Texas, officiating. Interment will be in Centuries memorial Park. The body will remain at the chapel until hour for services. Active pallbearers will be Capt. H. C. Cook, Capt. H. S. Lawler, W. F. McInnis, Richard Calhoun, James Dempsey, Kenneth Matlock and W. E. Howard. Mr. Stephenson was a member of Service Company, 199th Infantry, 39th Division Nartional Guard. He was a member of the Broadacres Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Marshall Fort Stephenson; his father, Edgar Stephenson; two sisters, Mrs. Eloise Adams and Miss Shirley Lucille Stephenson; four brothers, W. E., R. E., Jack and Ernest Stephenson, and his grandmother, Mrs. E. S. Stephenson, all of Shreveport.
