Strong willed, stubborn, honorable, trustworthy and person of their word. Certainly not words you would normally hear describing a "woman", but then again Mrs. TUCKER was anything but a normal woman. She was not an academic scholar, nor did she aide in finding a cure for some senseless disease. In fact she was nothing more than a simple housewife that worked beside her husband until his death, raising three children, bestowing upon them virtues, principles and values that they will use and look towards the rest of their lives. Mrs. TUCKER was not up to date on foreign affairs, yet at the same time she could speak to most anyone on most any level with that country charm and firecracker wit that those who knew her loved so well. Mama did not have an overly outgoing personality and was certainly not the one to start up a conversation with a stranger. However, once the interaction began they were strangers no more and her new found friend could see the extra bit of effort the "Good Lord" took into making Mrs. Buna Mae TUCKER. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at 10 a.m. in Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leonard H. Nichols, Jr., of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Harleton,TX, officiating the service. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 8 a.m. until service time.
