O. Gentry, 65, Tyler, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Tyler Memorial Park with the Rev. Chris Wilkins officiating under direction of Memorial Funeral Home, Tyler. Mr. Gentry died March 11. He was born April 1, 1934 in Caddo Parish, La. He lived in Louisiana Prior to moving to Tyler 23 years ago. He served in the Army during Korean War and was a retired commercial fence contractor. He was preceded in death by sister, Pauline Alexander. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Flora Ann Gentry, Tyler; sons, Jeffrey R. Gentry, Lindale, V.O. Gentry, Jr., Lake Palestine, and Joseph A. Gentry, Louisiana; daughters, Janet Shacklett, Chandler, and Ruby Ann Edwards, Tyler; brothers, John R. Gentry, Overton, Everett Gentry, Frankston; sisters, Elouis Byrd, Corsicana, Suzy Feazell, Shreveport, La,. Judy Taylor, Cedar Creek, and Dora Ann Gentry, Bardwell; and nine grandchildren. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at funeral home.
