Walden SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Benny C. Walden 66, will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside Monday, February 4, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Officiating will be Brother Wayne Fussell. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2008. Mr. Walden was born on May 28, 1941 in Many, LA to Coda Dave and Leola Rains Walden. He passed away on January 31, 2008 after a lengthy illness. He was a resident of Shreveport, where he was a Self Employed Carpenter. He was a member of Midway Church Of Christ. He participated in HAM Radio (KB5TEV) and really enjoyed talking to people all over the world. Traveling and RVing with his good friends was a delight for him. He enjoyed woodworking and made many things for friends and family. He was very good with animals and had a knack for training them. He so loved God's Nature and Gardening. Benny is preceded in death by his parents; son, Darren Paul Walden and brother, Bobby Ray Walden. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 44 years, Irene Walden; son, David Wayne Walden of Columbia, MO; brothers, Billy Hoyle Walden and wife, Jean, Jerry Gayle Walden and wife, Mary; sister-in-law, Ila Ann Green and husband Johnny. Pallbearers will be Billy Walden, Keith Walden, Jerry Walden, Gene Little, Jerry Tettleton and Michael Permenter. Honorary pallbearers \are Charles Permenter, Rex Coon and Wayne Fussell. We wish to thank the nurses and staff at Heritage Manor Stratmore for their care. Also many thanks to Dr. Hernandez.
