Walker, 50, principal of Mooringsport High School, will be held at 3 p.m. today in the Mooringsport Methodist Church. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth G. Rorie, pastor, and burial will be in the Blanchard Cemetery. Walker, who has been associated with Mooringsport high school since 1927, died early yesterday morning after a long illness. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Susie Bickham Walker and one son, Hugh Sanders Walker, both of Mooringsport; four sisters, Mrs. Zula Stewart and Mrs. Irene Wyatt of California, Mrs. Zelda Adams, Alaska and Mrs. Veva Stevens, Shreveport; and one brother, Maj. Mansell Walker, who is on leave from the armed forces after service in Korea. Walker was born in Jonesboro and received his B.S. from Northwestern State college and his M.A. from the University of Arkansas. He coached at Oil City high school and Ida high school before going to Mooringsport. He was a steward of the Mooringsport Methodist church and a member of the Lions club. Active pallbearers will be J. D. McKellar, Jr., A. Y. Tillinghast, Buddy Patterson, J. W. Moore, Earl Newland and Jack Brooks. Honorary pallbearers are to be all rural high school principals from Caddo parish.
