ROOSEVELT WHITEHURST, SR.

Services for Roosevelt Whitehurst, Sr., 78, will be held at 2 p.m., 
Sat., Oct. 24, 1998 at Winnfield Funeral Home, 3701 Hollywood Ave.  
Officiating will be Rev. Morris Austin.  Burial will be in Forest Park 
West.

Mr. Whitehurst was born Oct. 14, 1920 and passed away Oct. 16, 1998.  He 
retired from the U. S. Post Office with 39 years of service.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 54 years, Bernice 
Dawson Whitehurst; six children, Doris M. Whitehurst Johnson, Houston, 
TX, Patricia Ann Whitehurst Cotton, Shreveport, Albert Whitehurst, 
Shreveport, Roosevelt Whitehurst, Jr., Houston, TX, Dennis Whitehurst, 
Dallas, TX and Winston Hart, Shreveport; five sisters and three brothers 
all of Shreveport.
